How to Customize SureSmile® Attachments – Step-by-Step Tutorial

SureSmile® automatically populates attachment location, geometry, and size based on planned tooth movement, but clinicians have full control to modify them. This tip video shows two ways to change attachment type directly in the software or through the Digital OrthoLab team to achieve better clinical outcomes.
- Click the attachment you want to change. It highlights and a hamburger menu (three lines) appears at the top.
- Select Change Type from that menu to open the list of attachment shapes.
- Choose the new shape, for example an ellipse instead of a horizontal bevel, and let it populate onto the tooth.
- Rotate the attachment to the exact position you want.
- Or, write a note to the Digital OrthoLab team in your case notes asking them to make the change for you.
