CEREC Doctors

One of my favorite reasons to have CEREC!

This is a newer pt to the office.  She is a doctor and always tells us that she does not have a lot of time to come in for appointments due to her busy schedule.  She called a few weeks ago telling my receptionist that she broke a veneer on the upper left and needs to get in ASAP to fix.  She is very nice but very picky.  I'll include a pic of how she showed up in our chair with the broken veneer on #11.  The veneer she had cracked at the incisal edge.  It was 9 years old.  I took some composite and filled it in so I could bio copy it.

I told her it would take me about 90 minutes but she'd be leaving with the final.  She could not believe it.  Kept repeating that this was not possible.  She came in today so I took a quick pic of the final.  She told me she liked the final better than the original because I wrapped the prep to the lingual and she could not see the margin that was visible on the original.  She left the office telling us that she is going to tell everyone she knows that if they need cosmetic work that they need to come to us.

The power of 1 visit dentistry, especially when it is in an aesthetic area, can be a great practice builder.  when patients think you can do something that no one else can, you separate yourself from the rest.  The last pic is the final of the veneer on #11.  Not a huge deal, but a nice color match and she was very happy with the final result.  She came in today to take impressions for a night guard and kept letting us know how much she appreciated getting the final the same day and how much she loves how it looks.  I Love me some CEREC!!

Awesome Case Rich! You nailed it, and did it all within her busy time frame. Win-Win.

Thanks for sharing,

Justin

Nice work.  I love those kinds of comments. You can't buy that kind of marketing.

Wow, great stuff!

Love it!

Love that you have the confidence to get it done without the patient even in the chair. Single veneer? Bring it! Oh. You're picky? I've got this. Same day? Uh huh!

Rich,

Great job! I had a similar experience.Today a patient broke off #7, couldn't go to work with it that way. My front desk put him in before lunch. Pin build up with crown in one day. Left a happy camper. One day at the office lost, not multiples, with an ugly temp. He's an A3.5-A4. I don't have ions or temp material in that dark of a shade. Nice lunch hour!

Very gratifying when you can do something like that Carrie. Nice work!

Rich,

thank you!

Carrie

Nice job and what a great service....

Great work Rich.  You nailed everything about that case.

The patient response is phenomenal.  It serves as a great reminder about what the technology can do:  The things we have come to expect of ourselves are not even a possibility in the minds of most patients.  Rich's patient recognized that what he was doing was above and beyond the abilities of many dentists out there.  Although her enthusiasm and response is the best type of internal marketing you can ask for, the biggest positive I see is that she now respects the doctor's ability and training in a way she never could have in the past.  It has elevated her opinion of dentistry, and she will begin educating others to expect the same level of care elsewhere.  I doubt she will ever leave that practice unless she moves to another state.  Think she'll be "too busy" for her appointments anymore?  The trick is to get every patient out there to react the same way.  Make sure they know you are doing something special for them.  We want every patient to react the same way as this lady did

Awesome!

Yup, love me some CEREC too Rich!  NIce job and glad you got a real vocal advocate in a key opinion leader position.  Those are priceless.

Yesterday I did a one visit 75 minute e.max on a bicuspid fracture case and had the same experience of blowing away the patient.  They just can't believe it.  We are changing the perception of dentistry one patient at a time and I can't wait for that adoption bell curve to hit TURBO here in the next few years!  This is a disruptive technology and it is going to shake up the profession.

Awesome Rich!

Nailed It!!!!!!!!!

I enjoy doing the single anterior tooth.  It is definitely more challenging but its nice when you have the convenience of milling out multiple shades.  I like to take the shade from the incisal 1/3 and the choose the color the Vita easy shade gives me.  I also go one shade lighter knowing I can always drop the value a bit with some luster paste shades.  In this case, it was an empress multi B1

Good job. I approve.

You just made my cry chuckles

Beautiful work!

Amen, Amen, Amen - Way to Go !!!

As a new user of cerec, I can not say I really enjoy working with cerec yet because i am learning , but I can say I really like this cerec doctor's community.

Feel lucky that I made the decision buying this equipment, so I can have an opportunity to meet good people, enjoy dentistry again.

Great result... but impressions for a NG?  Nah, just scan it!

Robert,

Who do you send the scan to? Do you scan on ortho software?

Carrie

Been sending Ortho 1.1 scans to Glidewell for night guards.
