CDOCS Staff CDOCS is excited to share the latest updates to DS Core software from Dentsply Sirona, bringing enhanced features and improvements to elevate your digital dentistry experience.
New DS Core General Features
Visualization of 3rd Party Radiographic Files
DS Core now supports viewing radiographic files from Carestream, Planmeca, and Morita directly within the DS Core viewer. Users can access the same powerful tools available for DS radiographic files to enhance their viewing experience.
Additionally, users can upload multiple single-slice DICOM (.dcm) files from a folder or a single multi-slice DICOM file (.dcm). These files can be stored alongside other patient records, shared with colleagues, or included in lab orders for streamlined collaboration.
Note: This feature is not intended for diagnostic purposes.
Media Library Improvements
Navigating a patient's media library is now more efficient with enhanced filtering options. Users can filter by file type and date, allowing them to quickly locate specific records.
- Date Filter: Select a range or use the "older than" option for targeted searches.
- File Type Filter: Options include digital impressions, intraoral radiographs, CBCT scans, design files, and more.
- Improved File Identification: Original file names are now displayed alongside timestamps, simplifying organization.
- Primescan 2 Scan Deletion: Users can now delete Primescan 2 scans like other files, except those linked to treatment scans.
Availability Notice: Deletion of Primescan 2 scans will be available starting February 24th.
Bulk Download of Patient Files
Managing patient data is now easier with bulk download functionality. Users can download patient media through:
- The All Actions button in the patient's media library (for a single patient)
- The Patient List (for multiple patients)
- The Practice Profile (for all patient media)
Once requested, DS Core prepares the files, which may take up to 24 hours. Users will receive an email and in-app notification when the files are ready for download.
New DS Core Plan Features
CEREC SW 5.3.2 Connected with DS Core
The latest version of CEREC SW 5.3.2 now allows users to upload bridge case designs to DS Core, enabling centralized management of end-to-end manufacturing tasks. This integration ensures all necessary information is included for seamless manufacturing. Additional updates include: • DI & CAD/CAM Connector Included: The installer now includes the DI & CAD/CAM Connector, removing the need for a separate download. • Windows 11 and Graphics Compatibility: Enhanced support for Windows 11 24H2 and the latest NVIDIA graphic card drivers.
Availability Notice: The update will roll out via AutoUpdate starting February 19th.
Note: This feature requires InLab CAM SW connected with DS Core and a DS Core Standard Subscription or higher.
New DS Core Make Features
Enhanced Email Notifications
Labs will now receive more informative email notifications when an order is received, improving communication and workflow efficiency. The updated emails include:
- Sender's contact information
- Comments and special instructions
- Desired delivery date
- Printable order sheet for documentation
Additionally, emails for accepted orders now contain more relevant details, improving order tracking and management.
Users can manage email notification preferences under the User Profile Settings in the Notification Tab.
These new DS Core updates improve usability, efficiency, and workflow integration, ensuring a seamless experience for dental professionals and labs alike.
