It Starts With the Morning Huddle

Let’s face it; we would all like to be busier and more productive. For the CEREC dentist to be more productive means restoring more teeth with the CEREC system. Where do the patents come from? They may already be in your schedule if you just open your eyes.

The morning huddle is the most important 10 minutes you can spend with your team daily. Team alignment starts with everyone understanding who is coming into your office, why they are visiting and how are they going to pay for the visit. This process cannot start when the patient first sits in your chair.

If you’d like to do more CEREC crowns, ask your team to identify patients that may be in need of this service in advance of the patient’s visit. Have your team prepare each patient’s chart and review past treatment recommendations. Look at past images and radiographs. Understand patient co-pays if any. Try to identify any past roadblocks to accepting treatment.

Now you are prepared to have meaningful conversations that will ultimately lead to better case acceptance. If you can ask one hygiene patient per week to stay and finally have that crown, bridge or implant done, you will be amazed at the effect this will have on your bottom line. They are already there.

All it takes is 10 minutes!
