Brian LeSage
CAD/CAM Faculty
Brian P. LeSage, DDS, FAACD graduated magna cum laude with the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society award from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 1983. He has actively integrated academic pursuits with private practice, first in Washington DC, and now for 31 years in Beverly Hills, California, emphasizing esthetic and reconstructive dentistry.
One of 390 accredited cosmetic dentists in the worldwide American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), Dr. LeSage was appointed as Consultant and Examiner for the AACD accreditation process in 1995. He was awarded the status of Fellow in the AACD in 2002. He facilitated the Fellowship Chair for the academy from 2004-2013. He was awarded the Excellence in Cosmetic Dental Education Award by the Academy in 2009, and was inducted as a member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (AAED) also in 2009. He became an AAED Fellow member in 2014, making him one of only three dentists worldwide with this combination of Fellowship credentials.
Dr. LeSage is the founder and director of the University of California, Los Angeles, (UCLA ) Esthetic Continuum Levels I and II since 1997. These programs teach practicing dentists the art and science of cosmetic dentistry. He is also the director of The Beverly Hills Institute of Dental Esthetics. The institute offers small study clubs and mentoring.
Dr. LeSage practices and teaches truly minimally invasive dentistry: the most conservative, least invasive, predictable restoration of teeth to normal form and function with tooth-colored materials. His national and international symposia lectures offer practical, attainable techniques in adhesive and cosmetic dentistry to help clinicians raise theirlevel of expertise and change their dentalpractice philosophy.
Dr. LeSage is a Fellow with the Academy of General Dentistry. He is recognized annually as a Leader in CE and a Top Clinician in CE through Dentistry Today magazine. He has published several chapters on veneers and bonding as well as extensively written over 25 articles in dental publications. He has given over 600 lectures to his dental colleagues andDr. LeSage would tell you that is his way of“giving back” to the profession he loves.
Diwakar Kinra
ENDODONTICS Faculty
Dr. Diwakar Kinra grew up in Flint, Michigan and attended Powers Catholic High School. He received his dental degree from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry in 1999. At that time he proceeded into private practice for the next 3 years. In 2002, he returned to obtain his master’s degree in endodontics at the University of Detroit-Mercy, School of Dentistry. In 2004, after the completion of his postgraduate degree, he immediately returned home to begin his solo private practice limited to endodontics in Flint, Michigan.
Dr. Kinra has spoken on clinical endodontics and practice management since 2005. He has spoken at over 20 universities domestically and internationally. In 2008 Dr. Kinra also accepted a dual position as an adjunct professor at The University of Detroit-Mercy endodontic and periodontic departments. In his spare time Dr. Kinra is very active spending time with his son and triplet daughters. He also enjoys playing tennis, water sports, snowboarding, and anything outdoors.He owes much of his success to his wife of 12 years, Disha Kinra.
Melonie MacDonald
CAD/CAM Faculty
Dr. Melonie MacDonald’s journey in dentistry began as a Dental Assistant, graduating from NAIT in 1989. After years of hands-on experience, she pursued further education, earning her BSc in 1998 and her DDS in 2000 from the University of Alberta.
With over 30 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. MacDonald transitioned from working as an Associate Dentist to establishing her own successful, fully digital practice, Citadel Dental, in St. Albert, Alberta. In just over four years, the practice has grown rapidly from 4 operatories to 9, largely driven by the adoption of cutting-edge digital technologies.
Dr. MacDonald is committed to continuous learning, having attended LVI Global and Spear Education, and most recently participated in exclusive retreats at Dr. Frank Spear’s home on Whidbey Island, an experience she calls “the highlight of her career.” Her expertise spans a wide range of treatments, including pedodontics, endodontics, prosthetic dentistry, smile design, and injectable esthetic treatments. She has been providing clear aligner treatments since 2003 and is a passionate advocate for CEREC and digital dentistry.
As a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for Dentsply Sirona, Dr. MacDonald enjoys empowering fellow women in dentistry and sharing her enthusiasm for digital innovation with both colleagues and patients.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Mel enjoys cycling, triathlons, and spending time with her husband, Kevin, and their three dogs.
Rich Rosenblatt
CAD/CAM Faculty
Dr. Rosenblatt has been practicing in the Chicagoland area since 1999 and presently owns Forest North Dental in Lake Bluff, IL which focuses on CAD/CAM and digital dentistry. He founded the Northern Illinois CEREC Study Club in 2005 which was one of the largest of its kind worldwide. He and his partners started The Chicago Study Club in 2017, a comprehensive dental study club in Chicago.
He is a basic trainer for Patterson Dental and has been a software Alpha and Beta tester for Sirona Dental Systems. He moderates the CEREC forum on Dentaltown.com and has lectured internationally regarding CAD/CAM and digital dentistry. He is a Clinical Leader in Illinois for Imagen Dental Partners who trains other partner dentists in various aspects of digital dentistry.
Dr. Rosenblatt grew up in Ocean Twp, NJ. He graduated from Muhlenberg College in 1991 and went on to obtain his DMD degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ. He completed a GPR at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Reading, PA. He is married with 3 children and enjoys skiing and playing golf when he gets some free time.
Shalin Shah
ORTHODONTICS Faculty
Dr. Shah maintains two active orthodontic practices in Princeton Junction, NJ and Lawrenceville, PA (Center for Orthodontic Excellence) and was previously serving as a Clinical Associate in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania for nine years. He received his BA, DMD, Certificate in Orthodontics, and Master’s of Science in Oral Biology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Shah is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and member of the AAO, ADA, American Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association, and SCADA among other notable professional organizations. At the University of Pennsylvania, he has lectured on orthodontic records, space analyses, cephalometrics, career development, growth & development, biology of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), occlusal appliances, practice management, and preventive & interceptive orthodontics as well as various other topics. He also provides didactic and clinical instruction for pre-doctoral students and orthodontic residents. Dr. Shah has received awards for Excellence in Clinical Education (2014) and Excellence in Didactic Education (2016) from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Shah’s research interests primarily include the biological sensitivity of the TMJ. He has conducted novel research on Type III collagen-deficient mice looking at their skeletal development and maintenance, including effects on the TMJ. He is published in various dental and orthodontic peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, he has received several research awards, most notably the 2004 Vernon J. Brightman Research Society Award from the University of Pennsylvania, the 2004 ADA/Dentsply Student Clinician Research Award, the 2006 Quintessence Award for Research Achievement from the University of Pennsylvania, the 2006 Drabkin Memorial Prize for Research in Biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania, the 2009 Musculoskeletal Disorders Annual Scientific Symposium Poster Award from the University of Pennsylvania, the 2010 Charley Schultz Resident Scholars Award from the American Association of Orthodontists, and the 2010 William S. Kress Award from the Mid-Atlantic Society of Orthodontists.

Dr. Aleksandra Morel
Visiting Faculty
Dr. Aleksandra Morel is the founder of Smiles by Morel in Plano, Texas, where she has been practicing comprehensive family dentistry since 2005. She graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2004 and focuses on digital workflows and advanced restorative care, integrating CAD/CAM technology, 3D imaging, implant planning, and in-office fabrication to deliver precise and efficient treatment. Her clinical practice includes dental implants and orthodontic alignment, with an emphasis on long term function, esthetics, and patient-centered care.
As a Visiting Faculty member at CDOCS, Dr. Morel is committed to continuing education and mentoring colleagues in the practical application of digital dentistry. She is passionate about helping clinicians confidently integrate technology into everyday practice to elevate both clinical outcomes and the overall patient experience. Outside of dentistry, her hobby is nature and aviation photography.
Bill Claytor
Visiting Faculty
J. William “Bill” Claytor, Jr., DDS, MAGD-LLSR, FACD is a nationally recognized dental professional with expertise in general dentistry, substance use disorders, mental health, and burnout prevention. Since 2022, he has served as Executive Director of North Carolina Caring Dental Professionals. He is also a visiting faculty member at Spear Education in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Dr. Claytor was honored with the 2025 American Dental Association Distinguished Service Award, the ADA’s highest recognition, and was inducted that same year as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. He also holds Fellowship and Mastership distinctions from the Academy of General Dentistry, as well as its prestigious Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition Award. His national leadership includes serving as Consultant to the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs, participating in the ADA Health & Well-Being Summit, and a contributing panelist for the development of the ADA’s Evidence-based Guidelines on Acute Dental Pain.
A sought-after speaker and educator, Dr. Claytor lectures widely on the opioid epidemic, patient cannabis use in dentistry, and the challenges of burnout and perfectionism. He has presented at major universities and professional meetings across the country, including the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, New York University College of Dentistry, the Michigan and Colorado Dental Associations, the North Carolina Dental Society, CAPTASA Addictions Conference, and the Federation of State Physician Health Programs.
Frank Diaz
Visiting Faculty
Dr. Frank Diaz immigrated to the United States from Mexico as a child, overcoming significant challenges to become the first in his family to attend college. He earned both his Bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following graduation, Dr. Diaz joined one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers in North Carolina, where he spent nearly a decade delivering essential oral healthcare and helping expand dental services to rural and underserved communities across the state.
Today, Dr. Diaz serves as the Director of a Latino-focused nonprofit dental clinic located in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he oversees all aspects of operations and leads initiatives designed to support uninsured and low-income patients. He brings a deep understanding of the cultural, social, and economic challenges facing the Latino community, along with a strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
In addition to his clinical and leadership responsibilities, Dr. Diaz serves as a clinical preceptor for rising fourth-year UNC dental students during their rotations. He mentors and trains future dentists in all aspects of comprehensive care, including the latest advancements in digital dentistry. His instruction includes CEREC technology, same-day crown fabrication using Primemill, and 3D dental printing applications with Primeprint—ensuring students gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools that enhance precision, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
Melissa Meier
Visiting Faculty
Dr. Melissa Meier has been passionate about providing high-quality dentistry to her community for over two decades. After graduating from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2001, she began building a practice centered on patient comfort, advanced technology, and long-term relationships. Since 2009, Dr. Meier has incorporated CEREC technology into her practice, allowing patients to receive same-day treatment and digital dentistry with greater convenience and precision.
Today, Dr. Meier leads a large and thriving dental practice in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she and her team are dedicated to delivering modern, personalized dental care in a welcoming environment. She takes great pride in helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their smiles.
What Dr. Meier enjoys most about dentistry is the ability to combine technology, artistry, and patient care to make a real difference in people’s lives. She truly loves what she does and feels grateful to serve the community she calls home. Outside of the office, Dr. Meier and her husband Ed have enjoyed raising their three amazing boys. She enjoys boating with her family and is always up for a scuba diving adventure.
Dr. Russell Mann
Visiting Faculty
Dr. Russell Mann is a general dentist serving the Manchester, New Hampshire area with a strong focus on restorative dentistry, dental implants, IV sedation, and advanced digital dentistry. He practices in a fee-for-service environment focused on comprehensive, relationship-based care and individualized treatment planning.
Dr. Mann is licensed to provide moderate unrestricted IV sedation in the state of New Hampshire, a distinction held by only a limited number of general dentists statewide.
He has advanced training in restorative and implant dentistry, hard and soft tissue grafting, guided implant surgery, CAD/CAM technology, and 3D printing. Dr. Mann incorporates modern digital workflows, including CEREC technology, to provide efficient, precise, and comfortable treatment for his patients.
Committed to continuing education and clinical excellence, Dr. Mann has trained with many of the leading educators in implant dentistry. His practice philosophy centers on delivering exceptional patient care while utilizing the latest technology to improve outcomes, comfort, and overallpatient experience.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Mann enjoys spending time with his family, international travel, and caring for his large saltwater reef aquarium.
Shawn Sharp
Visiting Faculty
A 1997 graduate of Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Sharp found the power of digital technology with the installation of his first intraoral radiograph machine in 1998 followed by his first digital panoramic machine in 2000. Seeing the impact digital procedures had in dentistry, Dr. Sharp implemented CEREC (CAD/CAM) technology which allows patient to have final restorations created the same day.
With 28 years of clinical experience, Dr. Sharp has become a passionate advocate of digital technology, especially CAD/CAM technology and same day restoration. He is visiting faculty and mentor to CDOCS, a beta tester and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) to companies such as Dentsply Sirona, VITA, Ivoclar, Coltene, Atlantis, 3M, and Midmark. Dr. Sharp is a CEREC trainer and teaches techniques and workflows of the CEREC ecosystem that he uses every day in his own busy practice. He feels that digital dentistry has provided esthetic and efficient dentistry to every patient he treats, while providing increased comfort and satisfaction.
Dr. Sharp has furthered his education in the areas of sleep medicine, having attended training by Dr. Barry Glassman along with hundreds of hours of continuous education in this field. He has provided sleep therapy for over 20 years, and enjoys helping patients recover their health. Dr. Sharp is a member of the International Dental Implant Association and has worked with dental implants his entire career and completed his surgical training by providing implant treatment in the Dominican Republic with Dr. Arun Garg. Dr. Sharp has studied with forefront dental educators such as Dr. Frank Spear,
Dr. Bill Strupp, Dr. Ross Nash and the entire faculty at Spear Education. Dr. Sharp is a member of the American Dental Society, Northwest Ohio Dental Society, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Yao-Lin Tang
Visiting Faculty
Dr. Yao-Lin Tang’s formative years were spent on the island nation of his birth, Taiwan, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Dental Surgery. He later ventured to California to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Pacific School of Dentistry, and began his first practice in 1995. He has over twenty years of practical knowledge in cosmetic and general dentistry.
Far flung endeavors across the world have flavored Dr. Tang’s professional and personal experiences. In 2014, he has acted as a professional mentor at the Sirona CEREC Train the Trainer, held in Bensheim, Germany, wherein he shares his knowledge in CEREC CAD/CAM Restoration Systems and Digital Radiography—technology at the forefront of his current practice in San Mateo, California. Further, he is a mentor and visiting faculty at CDOCS, a Patterson-certified CEREC trainer, and a KOL/Speaker for the GC America, VITA North America, and HASS Bio.
Still, Yao-Lin finds time for the finer things: m oments spent exploring abroad with his family, a passion for photography, and—now and then—a fantastic round of golf.
Ryan Bucher
Visiting Faculty
Ryan Bucher grew up in Olathe and loves serving the community in which he is so comfortable and familiar. After earning a Bachelors of Science in Biology he followed in his father’s footsteps and studied at UMKC School of Dentistry for his D.D.S. degree. Dr. Bucher is a member of the American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, Fifth District Dental Society, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and participates as a Visiting Faculty for CDOCS.
He has been practicing general dentistry for more than 25 years and owns a private practice in Mandeville, Louisiana. Dr. Passauer is a member of the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, and Northlake Dental Association, where he served as president in 2005. He was recently recognized with the ADA 25-Year Certificate of Membership. His approach to patient care emphasizes collaborative planning to address current dental concerns while supporting long-term oral health. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Passauer participates in continuing education as a Key Opinion Leader for Dentsply Sirona and as Visiting Faculty for CDOCS. He has presented educational programs for Henry Schein, Patterson Dental, and Dentsply Sirona on topics including implantology, CBCT imaging, digital dentistry workflows, CEREC, restorative techniques, inLab, and 3D printing. He also takes part in technology beta testing and ongoing professional development.

In 2014, he has acted as a professional mentor at the Sirona CEREC Train the Trainer, held in Bensheim, Germany, wherein he shares his knowledge in CEREC CAD/CAM Restoration Systems and Digital Radiography—technology at the forefront of his current practice in San Mateo, California. Further, he is a mentor and visiting faculty at CDOCS, a Patterson-certified CEREC trainer, and a KOL/Speaker for the GC America, VITA North America, and HASS Bio.
Still, Yao-Lin finds time for the finer things: m oments spent exploring abroad with his family, a passion for photography, and—now and then—a fantastic round of golf.
Dr. Ryan Bucher
Olathe, KS
Dr. Ryan Bucher grew up in Olathe and loves serving the community in which he is so comfortable and familiar. After earning a Bachelors of Science in Biology he followed in his father’s footsteps and studied at UMKC School of Dentistry for his D.D.S. degree. Dr. Bucher is a member of the American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, Fifth District Dental Society, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and participates as a Visiting Faculty for CDOCS.
He has been practicing general dentistry for more than 25 years and owns a private practice in Mandeville, Louisiana. Dr. Passauer is a member of the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, and Northlake Dental Association, where he served as president in 2005. He was recently recognized with the ADA 25-Year Certificate of Membership. His approach to patient care emphasizes collaborative planning to address current dental concerns while supporting long-term oral health. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Passauer participates in continuing education as a Key Opinion Leader for Dentsply Sirona and as Visiting Faculty for CDOCS. He has presented educational programs for Henry Schein, Patterson Dental, and Dentsply Sirona on topics including implantology, CBCT imaging, digital dentistry workflows, CEREC, restorative techniques, inLab, and 3D printing. He also takes part in technology beta testing and ongoing professional development.
